I have a client who has a few RTI remotes using the 433 gateway. He's sick and tired of the RTI remotes breaking so easily. I changed a remote out to a MX-780i using the same codes. I did NOT touch the Systembuilder program at all. The other RTI remotes are perfectly fine. But the URC remote is spotty. It seems like you have to either press and hold each button press for a second longer to get it to register if it does at all. So in my mind, I'm thinking URC has a lower transmit level for the RF code as other RTI remotes from further distances away are working flawlessly. URC tech support wants me to add more repeats to each join. Any thoughts?

The gateway is behind a small TV, I believe, (from another installer) and I may move it.

I have used the URC products several times with Crestron at 433 freq. Never had an issue. How far away is the gateway?

Update: I connected the unconnected drain wire (previous installer) to the Pheonix connector at one end, and bumped up the repeats on the codes that affected the A/V receiver to repeat to 6 and that resolved the issue.
