Pretty new to Crestron so bear with me pls :)

I am trying to get 3 preset TS buttons to fire 100%, 30% and 0% respectively. No problem with 3 regular presets. Works great. I want a double tap function to go directly to the level and forgo the delay so I found the variable preset symbol. Looks like it should work but I must be missing something.

So far:

init has a 1 digital with %s entered and 3 analogs pointed at the 3 levels I added. Another init with 1 digital, 3s, analog pointed at time. 3 TS buttons are pointed at the 3 scenes and all 3 loads are pointed at the dim8 load 1.

Compiled and loaded, I see the init in debugger pop up all 3 levels but all 3 button presses are 0d.

I am under the impression from the docs that the init should set the preset levels so when a scene is called it will send that % to the light.

System is a CP3N, CEN-ERFGW-POE, TST-600, Dim8. Very basic as I work on building some more knowledge.

Maybe I just misunderstand the symbol?
No, it doesn't come preprogrammed.

What levels did you input on the analog preset?

That is just it. Trying to use the initialize to input the data for the level. Tried raw data like 65535d and 100%. It appears to be looking for a signal, not raw data.

Was thinking of a preset and not a variable preset. I wonder if it has anything to do with timing. Your level and time aren't getting to the preset before the scene 1 press?

All you're trying to do is send the 100% command with a 3s ramp and then be able to send 100% with zero ramp?

Time seems fine. The level commands don't seem to be taking in the variable preset from the initialize.

Can you take a snap shot simpl windows?
Show the module that's driving the init, the init itself and also where the init is feeding in to.
I'll take a look for you.

I got it working.

Originally was trying to use the INIT to drive the 3 levels on the PRESETV with 3 presses from the V15 driving the scenes and load side driving the load, of course. I had a 1 driving the INIT.

Boss started piling on the pressure over the time it was taking, so I revisited using 3 PRESET's instead of the PRESETV. I mistakenly thought only the PRESETV "cut" to the particular load level instantly on a second push but I was wrong.

I have to move on for now, but I would like to understand why the PRESETV symbol didn't operate the way I thought it should, so when I have a chance tomorrow, I'll but together a sample of the SIMPL code I was attempting and put it up.

I appreciate the input.

Thanks Guys!
