I need some help programming this in Simple windows. I am not sure how to associate the sources with the right inputs and screens with the right outputs from my switcher. Anyone have any experience please feel free to share.

I'd be giving TB a call. Only do Smart Graphics and have never really seen any need to use something like this.

Every source would have to be streaming video and their DM streaming card hasn't even shipped yet!

the SO symbol just has analog ins and outs. The number of ins/outs is based on number of screens.

This being the western world they are numbered from Top Left to Bottom Right.

the values are just from 0-N where 0 = no source and 1-N are the sources you put in the list in VTP.

That all you need to do to use the Video Switcher widget.

So I have 5 sources and 2 video screens on the TP. You're saying by just feeding the Number 1 to the analogue input of screen 1 the video will miraculously appear?

Neither do I. I made a test program using it and there was no way to control the source without adding additional buttons for source control. On any DM system the matrix is so small that you can barely make out what source each screen is on
You can't fix stupid

No. The Question was How to use the Smart Object. I answered that.

If you want to know how to use the Smart Object WITH a switcher, here is how to do it with a DM:

analog output of Smart Object goes to DM analog Video input. DM analog Video FB goes to analog input FB of Smart Object.

In a small system you can put a subpage in the window to bring up some controls.

The Video Switcher Smart Object is designed more for Video Walls or setting up a lot of sources in a single room with a bunch of different screens.

By using the subpage method described above you can design a way to get controls on a screen.

EDIT---- Here is a screen shot from an old program

Starting to understand. It was never intended to put actual video on TP but by dragging source to "screen" it appears on actual TV. This would be great for video walls.

Yeah its made for vid walls/command center type setups. Which is why its icon looks the way it does.

Only way to get Video on a TP(TSW series) is with an h.264 stream and the embed player.
