So the customer has the above system. I had the HVAC company install a SAM board from Carrier and I'm connected RS232. I downloaded the module for this from the Crestron website.

The problem I'm having is it won't let me adjust the temp lower because we use Celsius and the module was designed for Fahrenheit. I saved a copy of the original module, opened it up in SIMPL and changed the min and max setpoints to reflect Celsius but it still doesn't work. I can turn the temperature up, but not down unless the desired setpoint is above 50.

Anyone from Canada done one of these? If so, what did you have yo do to get it to work properly?

All other functions work fine, changing mode, fan speed, hold etc.

There is no input on the module to tell the SAM board it's Celsius but there is an output that is high saying setpoint is Celsius.

TIA

If you haven't already done so, you should try asking this on the Yahoo Crestron Programmers Group...

Use an analog increment with feedback, Min and Max set to 10 & 35. ( or some variation of based on how many digits you need to send the module)

Then write a quick simpl+ module to convert that to Fahrenheit and feed that into Zone_*_Heat/Cool_Set_Point_In

Unfortunately, that won't work. The unit is giving me the proper temperature in Celsius so I'd be telling it to raise temp to 70 Celsius.

For the moment we're going to change to Fahrenheit and figure it out from there.

Have you looked at the Daikin module and the F-C Conversion Simpl+ module in it for ideas?
It has analog input for Setpoint F In, Setpoint C In, RoomTemp C In with the outputs being Setpoint F Out, Setpoint C Out and Room Temp F Out.

Too late in the day to get my head around what you want to achieve and if the module would be of help to look at as a reference, but thought I would let you know about it.

thought I grabbed it from the Crestron site.
It was part of the Daikin Demo from memory.
