I hope someone can help on the forum.

I am a Crestron end user and manage my own system, I am trying to connect my Samsung mobile to my control system. This is what I have done thus far.

Ethernet card is configured in my pro 2. I have not used a hostname just an ip address 10.1.1.140.

The settings on my handset are

Host IP adress 10.1.1.140
HTTP port 80
CIP Port 41790
Passcode 1234

When I try to connect I get an error stating host and port values appear to be invalid.

Am I missing something.

Thanks

Have you configured your router to open port 41790 and point it to your processor? Did you assign the Crestron Mobile to port 41790 and passcode 1234 in SIMPL? Did you use Crestron Mobile and NOT the newer Crestron APP?

I'm assuming by you using the IP address, you're attempting this from inside the house? It won't work if you're not on your local network this way.

Hi,

Many thanks for taking the time to answer.

I have configured the router. However I haven't assigned anything in simple windows.

This is what I have done in simpl.

In the configuration window I have added iphone touch interface to control interface (there are two options here Connection 1 of 2 and connection 2 of 2) I have added both, one is IP ID07 and the other IP ID08.

In the program window I have added 41790 port1 to connection 1 and 41791 to port2 on connection 2

I could not find where to add the passcode in simpl.

Any further help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What version of SIMPL are you using? Sounds to me like a much older version.

You did not choose the correct device in simpl. When you use the correct device you should get an symbol where you can enter the passcode. Try something like "mobile device"

Hi,

Thanks for the last 2 posts. Simpl is version 4.01.09

There is no option for mobile device, just Crestron mobile.

Thanks again for your help

So you should only have 1 device with 1 IP ID. If you scroll to the bottom of the module there will be a place for port, project name and passcode.

Project name must be exact WITHOUT the extension.

That is what you need to use.

OK I have added the port number and passcode and the project name without extension. I think this maybe a firmware issue now as when I upload the project I get the following message

The device firmware does not meet the minimum requirements of the file

Device 4.001.1012
File 4.003

I am assuming that I need to upgrade the firmware to 4.003

As I am end user I do not have access to get the firmware file. Can anyone help?

Thinking it's the firmware on your Samsung.

Did you add the programming for the phone interface? You did say you were an end user not a Crestron programmer. If you already have a mobile pro project in your system (Taking a wild guess here) just download the crestron app on your Samsung phone and enter the same exact settings into that phone.

thecynic315 is correct, it's the firmware on the PRO2.

Sorry, can't help with that.
