Which current Crestron processor is the recommended solution for iPad control? The client has an existing CP2E, CNX-PAD8A, CNAMP-12X60, the rest is legacy equipment. The thermostats are line voltage with occupancy sensors and are controlled by the CP2E, not sure of the model. Lights and shades are Homeworks 8. Thanks in advance.

Any processor with Ethernet.

I was told the existing CP2EN would be too slow for iPad control and would need a new model.

We have multiple customers using iPhone/iPad succesfully on CP2E. Depending on program size and the graphics size you may not be able to store the project on the processor, requiring you to load the graphics project directly to each iPhone/iPad. This can be a PITA when the customer buys a new iDevice or deletes the app on accident/etc...

Any 2 series processor with ethernet or newer can be programmed to work with an iOS device.

You just need to use the Crestron Mobile G (Pro) app and possibly load the project to the iOS device instead of hosting it on the processor.

(Why are there ebay links in your posts?)

define Clunky.

The MPS-300 is a processor + switcher & stuff.

So running a program should be the same as on a Pro2, its when you start to use the built in features that it takes more effort
