I am searching for the rs232 protocol for a Sony PFM-32C1. I also have a Crestron IR learner, but can't seem to figure out how to use it to create an IR file.

Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The IR learner you have, is it the old desktop unit or the newer USB unit?

Also, not sure what software you are programming in but in Simpl Windows there are the Serial codes for a PFM-42x1. My guess would be that they are the same as the C series. You can find this under User Devices - Crestron DB - MFG - Sony - Monitor

I actually figured out how to get the IR Learner to work. I am now having issues converting the commands to rs232 for a Serial I/O.

I tried entering the code in the Serial I/O param, but when I test it with the Sony monitor it doesn't do anything.

Code for Power_cycle is 0x010F which I set as "0x010F" in the param. I even sent it manually during the debugger via the Tx signal and it doesn't do any thing.

I would just like to see if anyone has the rs232 protocol for the Sony PFM32C1 or the PFM50C1.

I need to make a module work via rs232 instead of IR.

The IR and Serial protocols and commands are completely different from each other.

Why are you trying to reinvent the wheel? Crestron has the driver made for you in the Simpl library (see my first response as to locating this). If you aren't using Simpl then tell us. If you have tried the modules listed in Simpl and none of them work let us know. The Drivers won't have the same model number but majority will work with any product minus some commands
