Hi guys,

has anybody tried using the Crestron iPanel ipad mount system with RTI processors etc?

I do a number or large boardroom installs and RTI only really have the ageing T4 as a desktop based cradle option so the iPanel would be a good replacement option but I want to keep the RTI processing for various reasons.

If your looking for just a dock to charge and mount the ipad, yes it will work. The docking stations are just docking stations.

You will need a 24V Power supply to power it up.  It works well, but there is no way to secure the iPad in the Wall dock without major modification.

Thanks guys - the cradle I have seen (online only I should add!) is this one:

[Link: crestron.com]

It seems to be more than a simple dock to charge as it has hard buttons in it.Crestron bumf suggests this adds extra control via the ipad connector, so i was wondering if it works with an RTI processor instead of a crestron.

Regards

Just note that there is a model for the iPad, then a model for iPad2/3.

Also in ~2 weeks new iPads are being announced and from leaks at least the mini will have the new connector.

Good to know even Crestron give us snippets without releasing (RTI are very bad for this!)
