Trying to use the Crestron iPad Demo with Gestures sample project for a layout using SystemBuilder but can't figure out how to do it. I know you uncheck the "Build pages automatically" tab in properties and select "None" for templates, but when I try to upload a project (i.e.-the demo .vtt or .vtp files) nothing happens.

I can easily go to VT-ProE and edit my layout and get that done, but how then do you connect the logic if it doesn't open in SystemBuilder???

If I'm missing something very easy forgive me, it's been a couple very long weeks.

Sorry, what I meant to say is when I try to "Import Project" in the iPad properties page nothing happens.

Hmm, never tried to import. I just vt pro, then open the FTP file for the demo and the vtp of the project, then copy and paste everything everything.

How can you go to vtpro and edit your layout if you can't import it?

I can open the demo project in vtpro and edit like any other project, but I can't see how to program anything other than the graphics without being able to import the .vtp in to systembuilder. Hope I'm making sense.

If you "import project", all that does is bring in the graphics layout.  It is up to you after that to assign joins and logic.

I have built the demo project from scratch in SystemBuilder to match most of what is shown in the iPad demo.  Takes a little work but can be done.

That's the thing though, it's not bringing in the graphics at all. It's isn't doing anything. I don't need to change the file format or anything do I???

So when you import the iPad demo, it re-draws all of the graphics and assigns logic, right (if you choose "?  But you wanted to preserve the original graphics look and feel?  I took some time and opened SystemBuilder and tried this on an existing project myself....and this is what happened.
From trying it, it seems as though SystemBuilder simply overwrites the imported project with it's own template, but logic and join numbers are applied along with logic.

I've had it do both, redraw the SystemBuilder iPad template and most the time it doesn't do anything at all.

Hey,

I have been trying to duplicate the Ipad/demo program for awhile with no real success. Is there any way you could send me your version?

Thanks,

Charles
