I have a basic Prodigy system, i am looking to add distributed audio to 6 zones. Other than the Prodigy Pamp in which case I would need 2 to achieve my 6 zones, is there any other systems that easily integrate to the prodigy system?
I have a Crestron Authorized dealer who set up my prodigy system and I will be using him again. I am just trying to do some research before hand so that i am educated in all of my options before making a decision.

Can my Prodigy devices Such as T-stat and PTL4 touch screens work with something like as AES?

IMO if you use PAMP probably the upgrade service would be less money involved rather than use for example a Nuvo System, due to coding charges wish will take more time, also you will have 2 way feedback status of the zone!!!

With Prodigy, a Pamp is the only acceptable solution. It would be useless to use ANYTHING else as it would cost more money once you factor in programming costs. Just get 2 Pamps have the dealer add them in and be done.

PAMP is best solution for value. You can always buy a nice Audio Matrix and some nice amps for a better sound solution. But will pay more all the way around.
The AES isn't what you need. it has the same power as the PAMP plus a processor built-in, which you already have. So that would be a waste of money. Plus you can get 3 PAMP's for the price for a single AES.
Having two extra zones that can be used for further expansion or bridging for better sound quality, isn't a bad thing.

And the PAMP will kill a Nuvo for sound and power.

agreed with everything they said but they forgot to mention you could bridge some of the channels on the PAMP and get a huge boost in performance for priority zones.
If you want to step up to the full line now is the time to have you dealer source you a Prodigy XP processor that can work with full line gear.

You made the right choice. In a Prodigy system, PAMP is what you should do for ease of programming and future service on a smaller scale system. It falls right in line with the programming software as far as logic and UI.
As far as your other Prodigy devices, they are only compatible with a Prodigy Processor.

If any one is interested in giving me a price quote for 2 Pamps and 4 keypads plus programming them into my system let me know
I have the program so adding to it should not be a problem

Plus 1 above. Do you know if it was originally programmed in SB or SIMPL. We do both, but outstoure the SIMPL and program SystemBuilder systems in-house.
but first, what happened to your dealer?

It was programmed in SIMPL.
Nothing happened to my dealer, I have done lots of reading on this site and picked up some great info. Just giving the members an opportunity to pick up a small project.
