Does the NX-587 keypad emulator (for the GE NX-8e) require a null modem cable or a regular serial cable?

Looking on the help file for the NX-587 it shows a straight through
Baud 9600
Parity N
Data 8
Stop 1
Only requires pins 2,3, & 5
|
