So if you're running Win7 64 make sure SB set to run as administrator and under properties of the MLX3 turn "Persisted button support" to Disabled! I had totally forgot about this little "gem" Still don't understand why it's there but turning it off makes all the difference. Do the same for the MTX3!

I always leave it enabled. Does it make a difference?

Yes if you want to do a lot of customization. TB told me to turn it off.
