So, my client is looking at Baldwin door locks, and they can be controlled via Zwave or Zigbee.

We're using Crestron so Im looking for a way to make this possible. I'm thinking about looking at getting a zwave to rs232 device (once I get more info on it), or Perhaps since we're also controlling HAI for the security, we could make the door locks part of the HAI side and just control the HAI (assuming Ithe locks give true feedback status to HAI which can then pass that on to my processor).

Any thoughts, suggestions?

Apparently this is the kit I need if anyone else wondered. It gives true feedback as to the state of the locks as well. (In case someone manually locked the door, it will still report back to the processor that its now locked). Haven't used it yet, But I was sent enough info on it to believe it should work.

BALDWIN ANNOUNCES INTEGRATION OF ITS KEYLESS ENTRY LOCKS WITH CRESTRON CONTROL SYSTEMS

New Integration Will Give Homeowners New Level
of Style, Convenience, and Security in Home Automation Solutions

LAKE FOREST, CA, September 26, 2013 -- Baldwin, the premier designer and manufacturer of luxury locksets in the United States, announces that its Keyless Entry deadbolt locks with Home Connect™ Technology now integrate with control systems from Crestron, the world's leading manufacturer of advanced control and home automation systems.
Using Crestron infiNET EX® wireless protocol, the Baldwin Keyless Entry deadbolt locks with Home Connect can receive commands and even communicate with the other devices through the Crestron control system. As a result, homeowners can lock and unlock doors from anywhere in the house using a Crestron touch screen or a mobile device screen, or remotely --even halfway across the world -- using the Crestron mobile app for Apple and Android devices.
What's more, homeowners can set schedules, and personalize access to the home, allowing anyone with an access code to create a customized home-control scenario. For example, when the door is locked or unlocked, the Crestron system can simultaneously turn lights on/off, adjust shades and temperature, and set the alarm. Homeowners can also give access to each family member or guest utilizing their own unique user code, allowing the homeowner to monitor system activity. The system can also monitor the overall lock state and battery status of the Baldwin lock.
A Crestron Connected™ device is recognized natively by the Crestron processor and allows for full control capabilities out-of-the-box with the use of the Baldwin module. The Crestron Connected initiative embeds Crestron control intelligence into a wide selection of third-party source equipment and display devices such as projectors, displays, and audio/video receivers to operate seamlessly with Crestron control technologies. The cloud-based framework enables plug-and-play connectivity for any Crestron Connected devices.
“The addition of the Baldwin Keyless Entry deadbolt lock with Home Connect Technology to our portfolio of Crestron Connected devices is a significant step for customers of both companies,” said Steve Samson, Crestron Director of Business Development. “In conjunction with our control systems, the Baldwin locks provide homeowners with a powerful home automation solution. The combination of convenience, security, and design aesthetics make the Crestron Connected device a must-have in the smart home.”
Keith Brandon, Baldwin's Director of Residential Access Solutions, said, “One of our primary objectives with our luxury market-leading Baldwin products is to partner with the most respected entities in the home automation arena, in order to provide our customers with the best possible home control experience. Our new partnership with Crestron unquestionably achieves that goal.”
