I have a customer that is expanding a current prodigy system (PMC2+), or wants to. What are my options?

Can one still obtain the PMC3-XP to use prodigy AND full-line int he same install? Can this be done with the MC3?

I'd hate to tell them that their three current prodigy AMPS, Ipod docks, and touchscreens are useless.

Prodigy doesn't speak to Crestron. The XP is no more unless you can find one, but I wonder how much support the short lived device will get.

Curious what the upgrades are that Prodigy can't do?
do wino hue?

Specifically HDMI Distribution. I understand I can do third party, but I'd much rather use the crestron pieces.

It's very tempting to just switch over to MC3 and upgrade everything, but the market for prodigy parts is pretty non-existent. No way we'd even come close to getting what it's worth.

That would be a drawback!

No one seems to know anything about those units. When Prodigy was still part of Crestron, they were "COMING SOON". I can't imagine they are still going to be released now that they've basically killed off Prodigy.

The why put them on the "new" Prodigy website? I would think if they're getting killed off that would have been the time to remove them. I don't understand their thought process of showing a product that's so far out of production but it seems all manufacturers are doing this nowadays.

Those specific HDMI Dist prodigy pieces have been "coming soon" for about 2 years now. It is baffling that they are on the Prodigy website though.

I would call Crestron. If they know there is a chance to sell DM instead of you using a third party HDMI switch they may cut you a break on upgrading the pannels and idoc. I don't think the Prodigy amps would be that hard to control with Crestron. They may also have an PMC3-xp.
