No it cannot, although the remotes look the same the programming is completely different

Im sorry you said 4x, I just threw up a little in my mouth.

I am not a programmer but from what I understand there is no software for that device specifically, you need the entire suite to program anything. I could be wrong though.

Also if you are working with an existing system you'll need the old code or you'll be starting from scratch, you cannot upload from the remote.

Ive installed a few 4x's and they have horrible battery life, horrible. They are also network remotes and therefore they will act like an Ipad when they loose signal, actually they link up slower.
