Apparently Crestron doesn't have a replacement for a battery on TPMC-10.Have any of you had any luck finding a battery rebuilder for this part??

No. Please let me know if you do find them.
The view sonic panel has been discontinued for a long time now so the 3rd party replacement route is non existent. At one point there was an ebay listing for 'recharging' but i read the guys feedback and 1/4 of the people complained that the batteries didnt work when they received them so i didnt try it.

I have a TPMC-10 that has never been used on a job, although it sits on my desk. Has been pretty much constantly on the dock and rarely used. If you interested in pickup up a whole unit / spare, let me know, I would like to sell it, as I don't really need to test TPMC-10 programs anymore. I can run a battery test if you like, turn off the sleep function and see how long it lasts.

I have to say, Crestron really dropped the ball on this. How do you go to a customer and tell him that after 3-4 years, he has no options after spending over 4k, except to spend another 3-4K. They offer a (small) price break on the 8x.Yeah, thats going to make my client warm and fuzzy-----Ridiculous.Xpanel here we come.

We switched to running xpanel on sympodiums cause they are so cheap and no one ever actually moved the 10 around.

Its been brought up before, but no resolution. In the meantime, in case someone has come across a solution, I think for my clients, it's worth posting. But thanks for your helpful input.

There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far. |

Have you had one rebuilt by them? For a TPMC-10? I saw this site last year but im always skeptical to use services like this.

Good Grief Stamp. The battery is only $59.00. What do you really have to lose? You might as well order two and shelf one for a year or more.

The battery is not 59.00. They want u to send them your battery and they take it apart and rebuild it. The common complaint about these services is that they destroy the battery trying to rebuild it.
So if they destroy it, I now have a much bigger problem on my hands.

Turn the TPMC-10 into a doorstop. No need for batteries.

Thats what were using them for now. I was hoping to re-purpose one into an actual touchscreen.

This thread hasn't been touched in a year, I see, but I wanted to let you all know that the Crestron TPMC-10 started life as a Viewsonic Airsync V210 tablet. This may help you in your search for a replacement battery. I am currently on the search for one for a client and it has proven to be a challenge. Just 6 months ago I could find them in several places but having trouble finding one source online at the moment.
