Anyone using a different crimper other than the one sold by Crestron? I've got an Ideal Industries RJ45 crimper and was wondering if that will work. Is there anything special about the Crestron crimper. Don't really want to spend $400.00 for a RJ45 crimper.

Have you been thru DMC-E yet? Crestron uses a metal boot that gets compressed to connect the shield. So a standard RJ-45 will not work.

that connector is different it does need that expensive tool, if you can get the ones that don't need crimp, I used those and did work like a charm!
