Is the programming for the series 3 processor and the sonnex that much different . The programmer I'm using says it is much different and that why the system is taking 3 weeks to program. I don't really know cuz my last company a amazing programer who would just remote and then we would call him with minor changes .

Is it different? Yes Is it 3 weeks different. No. Unless he's scared of it and waiting to go to a training class.

Programming for series 3 Vs series 2...after you create the program you have to make 1(one) change to the program header....thats it for a simple system. Theres more advanced stuff if you want to run more then 1 program at a time, but for the most part if the program ran on a 2 series it should run on 3 with just the one program header edit and a recompile.
Sonnex Vs (bi)pad8 style system, I think over 50% of the programming is the same. Older modules may need to be edited but that shouldn't take more then an hour or two.
