I see in the setup for the Mobile Pro App where it asks to use local file "Yes or No", but if I select yes it says it can't find the manifest file. I'm assuming that we have to load the file to the device one time?

Is this correct? How?
do wino hue?

Just treat the iPad like any other touchpanel interface, you can connect to it directly from Toolbox and upload. You can actually run both local and on the processor, and select use local file on the device to choose between them.

What would the purpose be to run the same program from the processor and from the iPad?

I have not performed the upload to the ipad yet but I don't see any reason why we would want to run the same program two different ways as.
You can't fix stupid

They don't have to be the same program. You could do one for WAN, one LAN, whatever... I'm sure there are other uses, but that one comes to mind first. I'm working on an xpanel project loaded into the web server of a PMC3 that will be used for remote access into the system, and the opening page has a password set. Would work the same with an ipad... Inside the house, uncheck use local files, etc...
