Anything coming with the on-screen display? Anyone heard anything?

Can't imagine they're anywhere close with the length of time the PLX3 has taken

OSD has been available on the AIP for a while now... never use it nor do I ever want to use it. Pulled it up on the showroom display and it looks like shite and still needs a controller to navigate so it is a pointless feature.

FYI, the OSD can be completely customized, just like a regular touchpanel.

I have a client with a sigh impaired mother who wants the larger menu. I was speaking of the prodigy on-screen display. Am I wrong or is that still not available yet?

I guess what I should have said is that it is a pointless option with any touch panel being used as a controller within the theatre.

Yes I am aware that the OSD is customizable, just don't want to try and mess with it.

The only time I can see this being practical is when using a handheld controller for control and in cgav's case for better viewing and navigation.

cgav No the OSD is not enabled on the PMC3, they didn't even enable it on the MC3...

When it is enabled any idea how it will be wired to the actual tv sets? I take it u don't need the hdmi matrix, it will come directly from the pmc3?

I do know it is component from the PMC3. The port is already there, just not active.

it sounds like it would be great for controlling home automation or audio distribution from a tv.
usually in tv rooms we have ptx3 or now maybe even plx3.
with such little screen real estate on those remotes,
we can now have the entire DA gui pop up on the tv instead of the small remote.

That on screen GUI sounds like a real service call nightmare. Switching to a component input just for the GUI then back sounds like a nightmare to me.

I agree with you and have tried having that conversation with the customer.
