I just ran out to buy a squeeze box to test with the control works solution. the squeezebox almost requires a readynas to ensure reliability. The day I bought my the squeezebox server was down. Scary start. got 2 way to the PTX3. My programmer hasn't finished programming but it looked promising. We are also trying the NA7004 from Marantz but I fear the two-way info is garbage.I read some of the guys on the yahoo group were not having good luck. I hope someone masters this because everybody wants Pandora.

Maybe someone with Autonomic experience will chime in?

Hi there,

We purchased the polytune and used it with our clients pc. The module does not work with sb. Once you bring in the module, you have to use simpl to make it work. Autonomics tried for months in sb but no go. Have to use simpl.

Please let me know if you get it working good.

Thanks!

We are using the Controlworks module for Squeezebox to do Itunes, Pandora, internet radio etc. You can get a ReadyNAS for $200. My programmer loves it. And with the latest update, it is SB compatible.

One nice thing about the ControlWorks module, is that you buy it once and can use it in multiple projects. With Autonomic, and some others, you must buy a new licence for EACH project. That can really add up, if you want to use it in a lot of jobs...

Tony, can you share any other comments on Autonomic's MCS solution?

On paper it looks outstanding.

I haven't worked with the MCS. I've only used their Apple TV (v1) module, which worked well.

I have MCS at home. It works pretty well with Pandora. It even displays cover art if the channels have them. You can download the full demo from their website. Check it out.
