I just needed to vent a little bit...

Wasn't the Prodigy system supposed to be super easy to program? I find every system has some quirk or issue that has to be worked out in system builder.
Receivers have tuner pages that don't work properly or map out on a template properly - and this is just to say the least.
Some devices have too many repeats happening so the button presses do a double hit when you press them.
Some devices are missing pertinent buttons.

I know a lot of this is user changeable and Crestron doesn't necessarily keep a database for all components like URC or RTI, but you would figure that someone would have the responsibility to clean up some of the quirky issues with the most common devices - like a samsung blu ray player etc.
That is if they truly want this product to be useful in the Composer world.

So far, every system I have done has started with using composer to build and discover and all programming happens in system builder. - time consuming and not very intuitive (not systembuilder, but the process).

The fact that the composer won't automatically pull (or allow you to manually change) a blu-ray template page when designing a system is just one example of a flaw that has existed for more than a year now. And is still not addressed.

Just had to get that off my chest - I'm done crying.

The product is solid once installed - I will give it that.

The device database available in Composer is definitely limited. I have found and modified every common IR devices that I use and saved into my User Directory so that the IR codes get assigned properly.

For the DVD /bluray issue. Open the Destiny Template for the panel you are working on, open the Bluray page and the DVD page, copy and paste the Bluray buttons onto the DVD page, then "save as" the file name .vtt
Now the DVD page will always have all the Bluray buttons. I find its easier to delete when not needed vs add-in when they are.

Remember URC and RTI rely heavily on being a simple control solution. They HAVE to invest lots of time and money into testing and having a really good IR database because they sell IR control solutions. These solutions are a HUGE part of thier sales. Where as crestron does so much more, having a perfect IR library isn't on top of the list. They do however provide you with a great set of tools to get the commands you need.
