Hi I am fairly new to AV support and crestron programming so I am learning very much by trial and error and was wondering if somebody would be able to help me. I have set up a control processor with program and graphic to use the free app on an Iphone. This works well on my local network, but I am struggling to get it to work remotely. I have created a Dynamic DNS and set it up on my Netgear router. I have opened inbound services for 41790 and 41791. I get through to the processor and it says loading maifest file, then short time later says cannot load manifest file. I am at a loss and have tried a lot of things.

Does anybody know what I am doing wrong

Thank you

What external port are you using (80)? Try port 81 or 8081 and forward that port aswell to the processor's IP. port 80 is usually taken for HTTP support and won't allow your crestron system to connect to it.
You can't fix stupid

I had a similar problem after reloading the program file off-site into a PMC3 using tool box. If this sounds like something you did, make sure you download from system builder. If you are off site, select TCP as your connection and type in the home's external IP. As long as you have the right ports forwarded this should work.

Crestron's dynamic dns server took 8 hours to register the IP address before I could use my registered domain name.

Port 80 worked okay with my ISP

Hi swoinstaller thank you for the help I do not understand much of this but I have opened inbound service 8081 and put that into the Crestron app and allowed always any services outbound I do think there is a port issue but don't know where

Hi mrtristan thank you for your time I am using dyndns not Crestron for my dynamic dns and nothing has been changed from working locally and trying remotely I uploaded the program through simpl and the web through toolbox so I think it may be a port issue or possibly the fact I am using free app not sure if there are any limitations

I think if the app is working on internal network that you have all the ports properly setup. What are you using for DDNS service? Whatever you are using, make sure to put the ddns name instead of the ip address in the app settings.

You'll basically want to setup the app as two options or two separate systems, HOME and AWAY
do wino hue?

Use Crestron's DNS service and you will only need one connection.
