System consists of a PMC2+/PTX3 and an Audio control Maestro processor. I am not able to make the volume ramp on the Maestro. This is a one room system. In SB I have the box checked to “activate command while button is pressed “. The volume won’t ramp if you hold down the button. The button is set at the project level. When I hold the button down the activity light on the PMC2+ will keep flashing but the volume will only go up +1db. I put a flasher with led feedback on it and it shows that the code flashes once but the will not stay flashing. How do I make the PMC2+ keep sending the code while the button is held. Adjusting the repeats just makes the system go up +2db. Any ideas. Sorry for the Noob question.

If you have an Ir-learner try and re-learn the volume commands.

I have talked to Audio Control and confirmed that ramping volume commands don’t exist for the Maestro. Is there any way in System Builder to make a code repeat while holding down a button.

Not in SB from what I am aware of... You will have to do some VERY EASY simpl programming to create this logic.
You can't fix stupid

You can try opening the IR module in Deal. Go to Modify>> Header details and increase the min repeat length. Give that a try. It may or may not work. You may need to re-learn those commands and set the volume commands up as continuous.

Already tried adjusting the repeat length, it just increases how much the volume goes up per press, 2db instead of 1db. How do I setup the volume commands as continuous?

You will need to have a learner. When you learn a given code, the learner gives you the option for pulse only or continuous. A menu pops up once the code has been learned.

Edit...you can also try going into deal under utilities and converting those commands from pulse only to pulse and hold. Again it may or may not work....

Whenever you make these changes, make sure you rebuild your database, delete the old device in your SB program and then add the new one. I always change the device name a bit in header details so that I remember which one is the new module.

Wouldn't you just right click and select replace from the equipment view? If you delete, all programming and pages will be deleted as well won't they?

Not necessarily. If you delete the device and build, you will see that there are errors (outside the parameters of that device) for the joins that you programmed previously. When you put the replacement device back in, SB will generally correct this as long as the IR codes are named the same. If you have created custom pages or logic within the device parameters, they will, be deleted. Many times I have done a replace but have found that it doesn't always give you a clean replacement. Sometimes it will other times it has created problems. If you dont have alot of custom logic I recommend you do a clean replacement.....

That does explain why some commands I edited in DEAL work now but others behave the same. Of course have done custom pages so don't really want to rebuild but what can you do.

Switching from pulse only to pulse and hold worked. Thanks.
