I'm at a site doing some programming with a prodigy system. My receiver is a Marantz SR6500. I have used the RS 232 codes for SR6003 from the crestron database. My problem is that the commands are not consistent, if I try the volume up by holding, nothing happens. If I try volume up by pressing multiple times, only some commands are received in the receiver. Any ideas? I have set all of my communications as the module says.

Thanks,

If it is the newer series Sr6005 they have changed there codes. They look like denon's RS-232 codes. You should be able to use a denon module for that receiver. Do a search on here someone has recently done this with a Marantz receiver. Please post what module you use. I am also a Marantz dealer. I haven't used any of the newer receivers with the new RS-232 codes. I have used the SR5005 and they are the same as the older Marantz codes.

I downloaded the RS232 codes from Marantz website and according to the xls file, it is the same commands for the SR6005 as the SR6003.

Also, did you said that you used a SR6005?? That is the same receiver I'm using. It looks like the commands are being sent to fast for the receiver to execute all of them. Any ideas where I can reduced the speed at which the commands are being sent?

I used one of these receivers with a Prodigy about a month ago and I used a denon module for the rs232 control and it worked perfect. I would try using a denon module as lites4u recommended, it should fix your issues.

Tuner input doesn't work on main or zone 2. Tried both analog and HD radio.
If I select the input manually - the Band and presets will then work
I tried replacing the Serial string in the module, but that did not seem to work
Replace Denon "SRRADIO\r" with Marantz "@SRC:F\x0D" - found the Marantz
code in the SR6003 module in the Crestron Database.
Any ideas?

Input mapping from Denon AVR4311CI Module to SR6005:
DVR = VCR
SAT = SAT
V.Aux = Aux1
TV = NA
GAME = NA

Used code "SIHDRADIO\r" and the tuner now works fine.
