I have an AADS with a serial port on it. I have connected it to the Honeywell Vista Serial Port. I imported the driver from the device data base for serial communication from crestron's site. We went in and set all the parameters that honeywell said to make for serial communication. At this point, I am not getting any communications with the security panel through the panels that system builder built on the touch panels. I also made sure that the firmware on the security panel is 4.0 of higher and it is 4.0. I don't know what else to do. Does anybody have any ideas?

Sincerely,

Kevin Fakhoury

are you using the 4100sm with the security panel. If so, are you using the null modem that comes with it also? Send me your email and I will send you some pdf files that will help you troubleshoot your system.

Hi There,

Kevin Fakhoury
[email protected]

We are using the 4100 and have installed the cable that came with it. We also installed an optical isolator. The only other thing that we did was put a straight through cable in between the end of the null modem cable to be able to connect to the serial port on the back of the crestron processor.

Thanks for any help you can provide
Kevin
