Just noticed that Crestron is showing a April release date for the PMC3 w/ PLX3 PAK. Any thoughts on this remote? Can't tell much from the details (or lack thereof) on the site. Is it a two way remote even?

I have read of so many issues with the PTX3 that I am leaning towards utilizing the PLX3 as my primary remote in living room.

This whole Prodigy PMC3/PMC3XP thing is giving me a headache. They launch processor without a remote and i here no OSD, which was the big feature at Cedia. Next I here they are launching a new SDK, but later on this summer. I would hate to start projects with this processor on the old SIMPL Windows software and have to support the same type of system with two different SDKs. I wish they just came out with the complete story. I think I am going to wait for the new processors along with the new SDK. I was also told of a Pro3 next year.

You are hearing right about the OSD per the Crestron site. Check out the PMC3 and see that the video is listed as future with a footnote below.

They are pushing out a half baked product. No new remote, Composer isn't updated and the OSD is missing. Why upgrade?
They also talked about the MC3 can run 10 descrete programs a once. Can this be programmed within the current SIMPL windows?

The PMC3 will work with the PTX3, so even though the PLX3 isn't available, the PTX3 combo is a great combination, techinically more powerful than the combo with the PLX3.

I'm very excited about the PLX3 combo to hit a price point and have a remote with more hardbuttons, but I'm anxious about the on screen and how to implement it. Nonetheless, still very exciting.

I also saw the new EX keypads are coming out along with a 3-way slave dimmer.
do wino hue?

I think the new OSD is contingent on the new SDK, who knows when that will launch.

I am not a dealer yet, only get my info from the rep. I have the dealer agreement, just waiting to pull the trigger. Hesitant to jump in during growing pains.

Who doesn't have growing pains right now? I would bet the when the new PLX3 comes out the PTX3 goes back to its original price point when the PLX2 was out. They dropped the price on the PTX3 due to the issues with the PLX2. The PTX3 is an awesome remote for the money. I agree the PLX3 will be perfect for the Prodigy market.

Rahim just pull the trigger. Better to get all setup and learn the programming now because it is a lot to take in.

Still an entire line of 2-Series and Prodigy to choose from.

I did it with Control4 and got burned, but rarely had any trouble with Crestron when I was programming. I think I will grab a PMC3 or PMC3XP, MC3, a remote and a few dimmers.

I just wanted to start fresh with the new processors w/OSD and new SDK, but hey I have an opportunity so I'll just go for it.
