I am at a loss, but i cannot figure why the PAUSE button on the MX900 will not command the Sam BDP1500. All other programmed buttons work - even the macro of raising the lights from the same button works, but not the actual Pausing.

I can use the original remote and it works. I have pulled from preprogrammed data and used the LEARN function for pause. Still no go. I also tried the BDP1400 codeset - same issue.

I programmed pause button to be PLAY - and it works fine. Pause...not so much. I am just baffled. Any thoughts?

1400 had play/pause; 1500 has separate play and pause. Use the slow + button for pause or learn it in. The play/pause from the 1400 is play on the 1500.

Tom,
I've wondered how these command differences operate.

If you hit PAUSE on the 1500 and then hit it again, will the unit go out of pause into play? That would make it a pause/play button...except that hitting PAUSE from STOP might not put it into play.

If PAUSE will both put the 1500 into pause, then play, that makes it a PAUSE/PLAY toggle, but not a STOP/PLAY toggle. Just curious, that's all.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Ernie,

The 1400 had the pause/play toggle.

The 1500 has separate commands for each.

The 1400 pause/play command acts as play on the 1500 and that is all it does.

The SLOW + command on the 1400 is the pause on the 1500. Press it again and you get a frame advance. No return to play, else it would be a toggle, right?
