Hi,

I use one set of pre-programmed IR commands (AUDIO>Marantz>SR4400 (RC5300R): 493) to handle my device.

For some reason the P-ON/P-OFF in this set of commands are not discrete but toggle, but i found that a similar set of commands got working discrete P-ON/P-OFF (thanx Daniel:-) (AUDIO>Marantz>SR4320 (RC4320SR):493).

What i now cant figure out is, how i add only the two power codes from the later set of commands to my existing command set on my AUDIO device!?

I can ofcourse create a new device TEST and add create a shortcut to the commands, but that would take up a device and there would be no way of hiding this (deleting it from MAIN buttons deletes the device, and hiding is not an option since i only got 2 pages on main).

I also cant drag it from MX-Browser since its not a learned code...

I bet there is an easy way to do this, but for the life of me i cant figure out how!? :-o

If anyone know how to achieve this please let me know :-)

thx
Anders

The only other option you have is to learn the P-On / P-Off to another learning remote then learn it back to your current file.

Other than that, and the steps you mentioned you have to load the entire code set.
You win some, you loose some...

As remotejr said, there is no way to do this.

I can ofcourse create a new device TEST and add create

You could put it on Main Page 2. And then hide all pages for the device TEST. It'll show up on Main Page 2 but I doubt any of the other users in your house will ever go to Main Page 2, and even if they do, and they do press the TEST button, it'll take them nowhere.

There is an alternative to using remotejr's trick of teaching the two discrete power off and power on commands to another remote, and then teaching them back to the MX-850 on one of the SR4400 device pages. You could instead start with the SR4320 device, delete all unwanted codes, and then teach all the desired codes from the original remote.

I also cant drag it from MX-Browser since its not a learned
code...

See the discussion in the following thread: Moving Buttons.
When I look at my last post in that thread, though, it appears I was mistaken. I think I recall having discovered this error, but I guess I never went back and corrected it?
