I am new to the MX-3000 and would like to see what people have done with graphics, animation, and sound. There are references to websites where there may be some code, but there does not seem to be any location where these are stored for download.

I noticed in one of the ads for the MX-3000 in Home Theater, it shows some graphics that mimic the buttons on the SA Cable box. I have also seen a few discussions on various themes (no doubt someone has created a StarTrek theme).

Where can I find files that I can play with to actually see the WOW factor on this remote?

This site was great to review. Many of the designs were repeated in the three sets of examples - largely from the contest.

Are there any other sites that have these types of files?

For unique graphical designs just look at the "Original Designs" category. Everything from the contest is in there as well.

You can find more graphical inspiration for the MX-3000 from the other file areas; just click Files at the top of this screen and look through some of the other touchscreen remotes such as the Pronto NG.

If you would like to pay for templates, check out Damon over at proremotes. I like his templates. Also, scope out the folks over at GUIWerx.

Additionally, you may want to head over to Pollensoft. They have two free templates with tons of components as well as several for-pay templates. Some of the content in the link above uses the Cinnamon template from Pollensoft.

Finally, if you want the creme-de-la-creme of free templates, take a look at the Gravity template by darnitol. It can't be beat for looks and number of components.

Thanks Aedile.

In all honesty, Gravity was just a stepping stone to Alpha, which lets you entirely change to look of the layout by swapping out the background images in just minutes. However, that template is currently only available to installers.

Where can I find Gravity? I downloaded a file called Gravity.zip, but it does not open with WinZip 10.

Try using WinRAR. I don't normally advocate switching programs to make things work, but no one else has had any problems. Plus, WinRAR opens more file types.

Just do a Google search for it - the program works well.
