Trying to set up my MX-900 and can't seem to find disreet power codes for Motorola DCT6412 cable box or a Philips 37PFL5322 LCD TV. The Motorola seems to have them in the custom codes but they don't work.

Any ideas where to find them or work arounds? The idea of not including power on/off in the macros is not very appealing.

Thanks,
Adam

I recommend asking these kind of questions in the Discrete Hunder thread that was made for exactly these kind of questions.

In my opinion, there is no need for discrete power commands for this box. In fact, I would highly recommend leaving it on all the time. There is no advantage to turning it off (the hard drive runs continuously anyway), and there are some weird software quirks that you may run into when the 6412 starts recording something while it's off.

There are no discretes for Motorola boxes. As stated above, the best thing to do is to keep it on all the time.

However, if you absolutely must turn it off, menu-power acts as off, and menu-power-power acts as on.
