Also, Mike at Surf Remote said in that thread: The MX-810 (the RF, Pro series version of the R70) is expected to list for $400, same as the MX-850. The R70 (expected to list for $300) is a completely different setup than the 850, with "Wizard-based" software aimed more at the end user, not really meant to replace the 850.

However, all authorized URC dealers have access to URC Control Room, where you can download the editor software. If you don't currently have an account on URC Control Room, contact your URC distributor or sales rep for the registration code you will need to create your account. Best regards, Dale

Joe: Literally thousands of posts here on Remote Central have discussed the issue of obtaining and distributing the editor software for URC's Complete Control line of remotes. I don't wish to re-ignite those discussions here (in fact, the owner of Remote Central has prohibited it). However, the methods and conditions by which dealers can obtain editor software for our remotes are explained at UniversalRemote.com.Best regards, Dale
