I am running an MX950 w/ an MRF300 using the emitters.

The remote works fine w/ individual menu commands like menu or volume, but ie the multistep macros it loses commands.

I noticed that the IR is a lot weaker when shooting the Macro commands.

I have each device going through the correct emitter, but I am pretty sure it ignores this when macros are in use.

Playing w/ the IR intensity did not help.

Can you give an example of what is not happening? Are you saying not all of the commands are being received by the components? Is this consistently happening with the same component(s) or is there no apparent pattern?

Thank you,
Damon DG

If I run the System On Macro one of the devices will not turn on. It is pretty random, but is rarely the AVR. Projector, DirecTV, VCR, or DVD player. All devices have discretes event the VCR.

I noticed when the emitter is shooting out the command during the macros that it is a lot dimmer then when it shoots out individual device commands like setup or menu for that particular device.

I have it turn on 3 times in the macro and sometimes it still does not turn on. However, when giving it individual commands it has no missed commands ?!? Delays did not help. The RF base and the antenna show no signs of interference in the current placement. I tried 4, 8, and C on the base, but under 0 it shows no interference for extended periods. I even carefully replaced the IR emitters to no avail. I am really crossing fingers that the 260 and 350 will finally dispatch these issues.

I mean I have wasted tons of time doing this.

I was wondering if when it shoots the macros out if it ignores the assigned emitter and just shoots out all of them.

The inconsistency of the RF is making it very difficult to do any other complex macros besides System On and System Off.

PS If you have a well laid out device file for the Denon 4806 or even the 4306, I'd appreciate it. The URC file was missing commands and split into too many pages.

It should be very easy to fix you macro problem. The denon and the direct tv reciever both have a problem with alot of ir at the same time. If I send a macro ( proj. on, denon on, sat on, vcr on and dvd on) the denon and the direct tv reciever see all the ir codes and might not respond. If you would send the macro in a differant order ( denon on, proj on, vcr on, dvd on, delay 1.5 sec, then sat on) that should work alot better.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks

Changing the order did not help, the proj started having issues. The MRF IR blaster is off and it's location in the cabinet makes that a moot point.

The order change did not help, so I just ran the macro 3 times in a row w/ a delay between each run of 0.5 seconds.

It works, but it bugs me. It really irritates me b/c of the time spent so far.

The MRF IR pot is turned down for all of the units.
