I have the following 2 devices that I can not figure out how to make function through RF. The IR works fine directly from the MX-950.

I have a Mitsubishi WS-A48 RPTV and a Component switch AT-CW-41.

I used the learn method for the component switch which has 4 inputs and 1 output. When using the IR from the MX-950 I can change which port is active, but when I try to use RF, I can not make the switch recognize the changes. I had to open the switch to find the IR sensor, but RF still will not work.

I am having the same problem with the WS-A48. I can not find the IR sensor on that device though. It seems the IR sensor is somewhere behind the screen as when I put the original remote control anywhere against the screen it works, but anywhere else on the TV does not work.

Anyone have an idea as to why these 2 devices wil not function through RF?

Thank you for any assistance.

Not sure about the RF fully but you can change pulse time and strength.
As far as the IR location I frequently use tape to cover the device leaving a small window. Just keep moving it until the remote works.

The IR sensor on my Mitsu is behind the screen. I was able to connect an IR blaster and route it into the TV from the control panel. I've read that many people pull the screen to locate the emitter/blaster.

Assuming you are using a MRF300 or higher, have you adjusted the signal strength on the emiters. Also, have you turned IR off or at least covered the IR emitter on the remote. Having IR arrive from the remote and MRF will cause issues.

When I get home from this business trip I will try removing the screen and looking for the IR sensor.

I have turned off the IR on the MX-950 and this had no effect on the operation of the RF .

Thank you for the suggestions.

What are you using with your 950? MRF300, MSC400? Where you able to make the base station send out the ir correctly? Does the led on the receiver indicate that it has received an RF signal? Are the RFIDs the same on the 950 and the base station?
