If i change the name of a smart macro in the msc and then dont reimport it into the MX remote, will it still call the same macro with a different Name?

Not sure about this exactly, but I think you'd be OK. The way I get it, the names are there for our benefit. The triggers are tied to the macros by some other identifier (macro number, hash, etc.) so if that doesn't change, the trigger should still work.

The macro will still work from the remote. Its just when you look at the programming on the remote, the name for the macro will be different than in the 400 programming, so it could cause confusion down the road if you have to trouble shoot something.

The link between the 950 and the 400 seems to be the hex value that the msc-400 appends to the name of the macro. The name is meaningless to the msc-400.
