The 980 has a clock. You can use it the same way you make a clock on the 3000.

I had a question about the 980. I am working with an installer and he suggested the MX-900. I am in no rush, should I just wait intol the 980 to come out? Seems like it will be out in the next two months, does this sound table sound about right? What do others think about the 980 vs 900? What are others best guess on the pro/cons? I understand it maybe too early to tell on the 980, but again dont mind waiting. Thanks PL

The 980 and the 900 are very different animals. To get an idea of what the 980 is, cross the 950 and the 3000, but throw in a much better graphics library. If the color screen of the 980 appeals to you and your installer has indicated your system may be too involved to use the MX-810, then the MX-980 may be for you.

I have every reason to believe the 980 will be in your dealer's hands soon enough for you to make your own side-by-side comparison. I'd be very surprised if anything pushed the ship date of this remote past the timeframe you suggested.

Although not a pinpoint date, many thanks for the update and rough timeline. I know how nasty hardware and software releases can be on their own -- good to hear that this model seems to be on schedule.
