I was just updating a remote for a client and there was a little Hex button.
I clicked on it and it Said Hex editor.

Does this meen that we can now just Copy/paste into URC Universal browser Hex information? If So. Great fantastic. WoHoo.

If this has been there for a year the feel free to flame me.

Have anyone got a clue how to use the Hex Editor?

I loaded an mxf file into MX Browser and tried dropping the learned button on to the "drag" targit, but i couldnt get the editor to show anything!

How do i get the hex value of a learned button?

thx

This is for importing Pronto-formatted hex codes, not hex code exporting...

So if i load a ccf (and only a ccf) i can drop it on the targit?

Could you explain precisely what you use it for?

thx

It is used to paste Pronto-formatted hex codes into your configuration, most typically discrete power and input codes. Previously the only way to get a Pronto hex code into a URC remote was to load a CCF into the Universal Browser, find a command, and drag it to a button.

If you had a hex code by itself, and not part of a CCF, you had to download and install ProntoEdit, create a CCF, make buttons, insert the hex code, save the file, then go to MX Editor and load the resulting CCF into the universal browser. Now you just paste the hex code and drag it to a button. :-)
