I keep trying to learn the xbox dvd remote into my mx800 but for some reason the I keep getting double down and double left cursor commands on my 800. Any ideas what's causing this? I've tried holding the buttons on the original remote different lengths of time but it doesn't seem to help. Any ideas?

Not familiar with hex codes. I looked in the downloads and found a couple xbox devices but they didn't work. Can you elaborate on the Hex codes?

If this is the original xbox, and you have the official remote & IR sensor, use the RCA dvd code.

a hex code is for an IR command. its a paragraph of numbers and letters that you copy then paste somewhere within your editing software.

most hex codes i have needed for commands that for some reason my remote wont learn (or in your case where i assume you dont have an xbox remote to learn from?) i got from pronto files here on the site. you can download the software needed to open the pronto files from here on the site also.

sorry if that isnt a good explanation.... i'm still half asleep. :-0

Yes I have the original xbox and sensor. That's what I was using to try and learn the commands. I'll try and see if the RCA DVD will work. There are several RCA DVD models listed in the database. Is there one in particular that I should use?
