I was programming my MX-350, but when I entered the Pre-Programming mode, it won't accept any code numbers, and sits there as if it's completely empty.
It doesn't even show the screen with the code number I entered.
I programmed it the good old hard way, by learning each remote to the MX-350, and that worked fine.
Is it possible that the code database wasn't entered into the unit from the factory?
Would a PCL-300 be able to load the pre-programmed codes into the MX-350?
I would like to have some of the discrete codes as well as additional pages that many devices have as part of the pre-programmed codes.
I've programmed an MX-600 using the pre-programmed mode with no problem, but this one is throwing me for a loop.

Rest it to factory settings and see if the glitch goes aways from there. Simply hold down MAIN and the STOP buttons at the same time for approx 15 seconds. You will be asked for confirmation; select SURE from the LCD menu and the remote will return to factory setting. See if this makes your probelm go away. You may have a defective unit if this does not clear it up; so hopefully you purchased it from an authorized dealer and can get an answer to that.

Good Luck,
Vincent

PS - I have used this remote hundreds of times and it's beeen strangely one of the most reliable...

The first thing I did was to reset it with the Main/Stop buttons, but no luck.
You are right, it is one of the most reliable and consistent performing of URC's remotes.
Other than this issue, it's been flawless.
It's a minor issue, as I "learned" all the remotes to the MX-350.
Unfortunately, I picked it up used as a backup, but it works so well, it will be replacing my MX-900.

Someone might have tried to clone a urc-200 or RF20 to it, wiping out the memory.
