applied the live update and re-synced my remote. Now none of the IR works. I reviewed the IR/RF setup and the TVs are set to IR, but non of the commancds work. Has anyone else had any issues? How can I roll back? I am using a TX-1000.

I have already reported this to universal, I also had the same identical problem. If you are a member of urc control center the version of the software on that site is still the previous version.

When I reported it they did not want to admit the error, so in a sense I am glad that you have had the identical error.

I have a TX-1000/MRF-250 as well. Added a new HD DVD player (HD-A20), ran Live Update to see if any codes were added. No new codes (I just used the HD-A2 code set), so I configured my macros, etc.

However, now I have lost all RF functionality! It worked OK last night before the update, and IR still works. I e-mailed Surf Remote, but they only had me check if my IR Blaster was "On" and set to "1". It was, and I never changed any of those settings. My version numbers inthe software program are: TX-1000 editor version 1.10.108, Firmware 1.50 and IR DB 1.81. These numbers do not match what is listed on the remote (Edit 1.00, S/W 1.50, IR 1.12). Does anyone think this might be the problem? Would an e-mail to URC help?

Thanks in advance,

John

Well, problem solved for now. Mike at Surf Remote suggested uninstalling/reinstalling the software and not perform a Live Update. Now I have all functionality back. But there must be something in the new software update that hoses the RF/IR function.

From what i notice with the most recent 900 update, seems like they fixed it...
Check the 900 update history

Does that mean the the live update has been corrected or not? For now I have rolled back to a previous installation.
