I wish I had a photo!

I tried numerous placements, signal level adjustments, etc...

I tried chokes on the receiver and emitter wires, etc...

Finally, I jacked up the receiver gain to maximum and wrapped the entire receiver in foil.

Works like a charm!

Is the MRF-300 yours or a clients?

If it's your client's MRF, what does he think of it?

It is my clients MRF300.

I was brought in to reprogram a system that was sold to him several years ago. The original installer was hack beyond comprehension and I could not get the client to pull the trigger on a new control system after new TVs, rack, receiver etc....

I do not do much URC so I was caught by my inexperience with the MRF300 issues and the MX3000 was not compatible with the new narrow band receivers.

It looks silly wrapped in foil but it is in a closet. The client understood my frustration with the product faults and sees my solution as both humorous and ironic given that I used all of my "expert" powers to come up with a professional solution yet ended up using foil in the end.
