if anyone out there works frequently with yamaha equip, can you let me know if the rxv-2700 has the ability to switch between audio sources while maintaing the video output? similar to other "video source select" buttons from other manufactors out there.
also does the discrete for that function exist?

thanks for any help in advance!

Not sure you're posting in the right place. But the answer is YES.

If you are, for example, watching TV through the DTV input and you choose CD as your source, the video will remain on screen for the DTV input. I just went out to the livingroom and tested it on the other audio inputs, and it works for those as well.

Side note:
When you choose the PC input while watching TV, the display remains on the original video source (DTV), but the remote now controls the PC input functions. Just press the left arrow to bring up the PC screen. You can choose to overlay PC info over the (DTV) video, or have a wallpaper background. You can also choose how long the PC info stays on screen after the last command is sent (always, 10 sec, or 30 sec). You set that in the receivers menu under the "video" section. Although I used DTV as an example, the same would apply if your video source is CBL/SAT, VCR1, DVR/VCR2 or V-AUX.

As for there being a descrete code for this, there doesn't need to be one. Just choose your audio input, and you're done.

Hope this helped
