I'm programming a mx-900 for somebody i'm working for and i've run in too a snag or two. The system was completely preinstalled by the previous owners of the house professionally. so the problems
1. The receiver a denon avr-3300 has two seperate inputs VDP and DVD but in the mx-900 library of codes there is only vdp/dvd. Are there any workarounds for this or just a software update that can fix it?
2. The guy wants satellite and cable not exactly sure why but he does. On both devices I just have been dragging and dropping each individual number key as a macro but when i go to change the channel by the time it gets both numbers on the screen i cant push ok or anything so it either only sees one number or none. I know this is probably just something i dont know how to tweak
1. Try the codeset for the 3803(main) or learn manually from the oem if it's available.
2. Create individual devices for SAT and CABLE with the correct codeset from the IR DB or learn manually. You should not be doing a macro for digits on a device in the best case scenario.
now the receiver isnt taking the IR codes anymore i've tried about 3 or 4 different models and the only way it will take codes is when i remove the IR sensor and walk up to it and control it so i'm wondering if something else is wrong
