I need to extend two of my flashers. Can I use an ordinary 3.5mm mono extension cable (female -> male)?

You can even use a stereo cable. I've used some 25' ones that have worked fine.

Thats what is nice about the MRF300 and 350 and MSC400.

If it is a long run you may want to consider using cat5.
