Hi,

I am programing a MX-900.

I am looking for discrete power codes for the following devices:

1. Panasonic PT-50LCX64. There were discrete power codes in the database but they do not work with my TV.
2. Panasonic DMR-E75V.
3. Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HD.
4. Denon ARV-987. This is not in the data base. Is a AVR-2807 the same? Do I have to learn the codes?
5. Technics SA-R430. This is very old and not in data base. I am using for the third zone. I guess I will learn codes, but need help with discrete power codes.

Thanks for help.

If I can not find discrete codes what is the best solution?

I don't know about the other components, but I have a DENON AV4800 receiver, which also was not in the database. I found that almost all of the cpdes for other DENON receivers that were in the database worked with my receiver. The first thing to try is to simply pick a unit in the database that is close to your in model number, look at the list of functions in the database to see if most of them match the ones on your unit, and then try them out. I am sure that the discrete power codes for one of the other DENON units in the database will end up working with your receiver.

Good luck.

Rapper down load the pronto editor, create a button. go to the properties of that button and drop the hex codes into each button. Then save the file. Then go to the universal broswer under tools and and open the pronto file. You can then drag those codes on to a button.

This is the info I came here to find. I wasn't sure how to enter Hex codes into one of the URC editors. I am going to download the pronto editor now and give it a shot. Thanks for the info Lee.

Ok, I just downloaded the software, from this site (nice job on the file library you guys have by the way). I have not dealt with Pronto's software before so it took a little learning, but I figured out that part. I grabbed a hex code also from this site and replaced the hex code in the software, saved the file, opened in MX-900 editor and dragged and dropped. You're the man Lee. Thanks so much. This will make things a lot easier going forward.

Thanks. I just did some test runs today on my system. All my equipment is in URC's database, but I still tried some hex codes I found here and imported them via your process. Everything worked great.
