I’ve been programming URC’s for a few months now and this issue is in my own setup so it’s not the end of the world if it’s not fixable.

I’ve got an MX900 in a bedroom controlling the local TV in this room and a TiVo in a different room. There is an MRF350 in each room. The MX900 is now communicating with the MRF350’s in both rooms with this activity (TV power, volume and mute in the bedroom and TiVo in the other room) and that all works perfectly.

The problem I have is with the SLEEP button I’ve put on one of the TiVo pages. It is sending RF to the MRF350 in the other room instead of the bedroom where I need it. I tried setting RF control to IR/RF but that doesn’t work. It’s like the MX900 thinks the SLEEP code belongs to the TiVo and will not send it to the TV. I can’t set the MRF350 to IR/RF because there is another TiVo in this bedroom used in another activity. (The SLEEP button function works fine in the local TiVo activity)

Is there a way to set a punch through for a specific button?

What to do?

No. Not via a punch-through.

You already have the sleep button command within your TV device and have the RF setup to include 2 different RF receivers and 2 different channel assignments and have the proper RF routes done, correct? So create a macro on the LCD page of the TIVO that's called 'sleep' and record the macro as the Sleep command from the TV device.

I tried this once before but I must have created the macro within the Tivo activity and it didn't work. This time I created the macro within the TV device, copied it to the Tivo activity and what do you know, it works.

THANKS for the help.

I see better support in this forum than in the URC forum...thankfully!
