Unfortunately I have not been able to find an IR code for my Phillips receiver/home theatre system FR-968 - so I used the learn function to change the receiver to the SAT mode. The single button works fine (must hold to activate). Therefore, I continue with creating a macro to turn all my devices on. Since I have to "hold/repeat" the learned SAT button I add it to the macro several times with delays in between. Again, works fine when I test it on the PC while the remote is connected. However, after I save the file, download it to the remote and try the macro on the remote without the PC the SAT function doesn't work. It does however work when trying the single SAT button. Hope that makes sense...Help?

Try re-learning the code. Remember to hold the button on the original remote until the software says "GOOD". It sounds like it only learned part of the code (possibly due to a quick press of the button during the learn procedure), but if you repeat the partial code enough times it eventually takes.

Another quick trick if relearning the code doesn't work is to use the universal browser and bring the code into the MX-3000 editor. In the 3000 editor double click the ir code in the macro window. You can change the number of repeats of a learned command. Save the 3000's file and use the universal browser on the 900 to bring the code into it.
Hope this helps

There is a provision in the MX900 software for adding repeats in the IR Database Navigator. And since we're talking Phillips, you may need to use the "2 Time" Learning feature in the software located at the top right part of the learning screen. This will prompt for both parts of a 2-part code and learn them correctly.
