Frankly I am not even sure if this makes sense. I own an MX3000 and want to control my lights and fans. I have read that the UPB components work very well, far better than X10 modules. Will my remote work using UPB components? If not what is the best solution to controlling 2 fans and 3 lighting circuits? Everything is basically in one large room.

I'm not that familiar with UPB, but basically, unless you can control the UPB system via an IR or RS-232 controller (the latter using an MSC-400), you're out of luck. Mike www.SurfRemoteControl.com

Hi, You can do it with a MSC-400. You would also need one of these (or an equivalent) [Link: smarthome.com].
