I'm having problems getting my MX-950 to control a couple of Denon components (3805, 3910) via RS-232 and the MSC-400...

The status light on the MSC flashes when buttons are pressed on the remote. Testing via the "funcs" dialog when my laptop is connected to the MSC works correctly. IR control over other components works correctly.

Any ideas on what the problem may be. I've checked all the settings over and over but can't seem to get it working.

Thanks.

It sounds like you are pretty new to the MSC-400. If your RS-232 commands are working fine when you test the "funcs". Then someting is wrong with your triggers. Did you convert all the "funcs" to smart macros? Did you import the smart macros into the MX-950 macro box or directly to a button? You should import the trigger to the macro and not the button. A lot of times it won't matter but sometimes with routing it does.

Did you set a secondary RF ID on the MSC-400 and set your routing accordingly? Do you have two RF receivers set up in the 950, one matching the primary RF ID and the second matching the secondary RF ID? Is your routing correct on the secondary? I.E. ports 1=7,2=8,3=9, etc. Also, functions like volume need to be set and adjusted for the button being held down. There are many things that could be causing this and your problem is a little vague to give you a definite solution. Try some of the things I mentioned and see if it helps.

Thanks, I had imported directly to a button and moving the macros into the macro box seems to have fixed it.
