Just opened box on MX-900 and tried the MX-editor out. I was able to select from the IR database and successfully test the plasma TV and DVD player. However, when I select from the IR database the receiver I am using (Yamaha RX-V1500) the test does not work. I tried the inclusive code set (at least up to Yamaha 40) with no luck. Help needed, thanks.

the 1500 should be in your data base. if not use the rxv2400.

The 1500 and 2400 are in the database, but neither seems to work. At least they don't pass the poweroff test and if I save and download to the MX-900 there is no response from the receiver.

Try testing the codes via the editing software with the remote plugged into the computer. Also, are you using IR or RF?

I tried testing the codes both ways. First, via the editing sw with the remote plugged in. This works fine for the TV and DVD player but not the receiver. I then tried downloading the codes to the remote and unplugging the remote from my laptop - no success for the reciever. I am using IR with good line of sight to the components (receiver remote works fine). I have not tried updating the latest codes from the website. I will try this tomorrow.

After uploading latest codes and downloading to remote I got things to work. Note that the test via the editing sw with the remote plugged in did not work.

Thanks to those that replied.
